We offer three types of OEM
Amplifiers for Fadal Machines:
- New 2012 amplifiers
- Remanufactured OEM
- Repair Service
A core exchange deposit is required for both new and remanufactured amplifiers sales
which is refunded upon us receiving a usable core.
Total Engineering Support!
With
us you're not just getting a "Part In A Box!"
Here's four key examples of the Total Support our customers
receive:
Diagnoses - Direct help in determining if you
really do need to replace the amplifier. When working with engineers
that design the machine, we can help determine if there's other
elements in the servo system that also need to be addressed
before
replacing an amplifier.
Documentation - We provide very simple and concise, step by step instructions
on how to install and get your replacement amplifier in and running.
With our documentation we also include Preventative Maintenance
tips to help avoid future failures.
Warranty - Just like "the old days", we value our
relationship with each and every customer. We are driven by
fairness and committed to your satisfaction. Click on the
About Us page to learn about what guides us today.
Support - With the combination of our engineering
background and direct
interaction with both Glentek and AMC engineers, you are getting the absolute
best product support possible at installation and beyond.
The axis amplifiers are one of the most important aspects of the machine.
Why buy something from someone without the engineering experience
and the manufacturer's direct support?
True Knowledge and Experience you can Trust:
Below are a few examples of our expertise with
axis amplifiers.
Axis Hardware Development:
- DC motor/amplifier design, evaluation, testing and production QC, continually evaluated many different DC Brush motors and amplifiers, from just about every manufacture in the industry.
- AC motor/amplifier design, evaluation, testing and production transition, working directly with Glentek engineers to develop both the AC Brushless motors and amplifiers, then creating a second source solution with Baldor.
- Glass Scales; integration with servo control of motors
- Temperature controlled ballscrews
- Developed and Perfected the Ballbar standard
with
Axis Software Development:
- 1010 Axis Software
- High Speed DNC - 1000 blocks per second
- Programmable Servo Gains
- Advanced Feed Forward
- Manual Pulse Dry-Run
- Volumetric Compensation (never released)
That's True Knowledge and Experience.
Our Reman Amplifiers:
Remanufactured by AMC and Glentek
Besides selling new amplifiers, we offer True OEM Remans!
Remanufactured to original and in some cases "better than your
original" condition. How is that? Not only are they put
through rigorous factory testing and repair, the amplifiers are also
brought up to the latest design revision possible.
Beware of those selling repaired
amplifiers - Only the original manufactures have the
engineering knowledge and design schematics required to fix the
amplifier and to keep it from failing again (fix the real problem).
When working on critical circuitry, unless the technician has the
proper schematics, they are just guessing at what to fix!
Before you buy, ask "Is it
Remanufactured, Repaired or just Used?"
Today you'll commonly hear the term "REMAN" parts. This
term started at Fadal years ago to describe the parts as just
"repaired," but it was intended to convey the process - "Quality
rebuilds by the Original Manufacture, remanufactured with the same
process by those companies who originally built it."
Many selling parts on the internet claim to have "Reman" parts,
when the parts have been simply just repaired.
Here's Five Good Reasons Why It's Important To Buy Only
OEM Products:
-
Performance - the basic function of the amplifier operates as a
Velocity Closed Loop system; that regulates the speed and
response of the motor rotation. The custom settings for the
internal velocity feedback and speed command relationship of the
amplifiers were carefully tuned for maximum performance years
ago during our initial development. Dynamic performance requires
matched (exactly) components not imitations. Sure the motor
might rotate but that doesn't mean the contouring of the
machine is accurate.
-
Current Output - amplifiers are not equal in current (power) output ratings. The factory outputs are matched for specific motor windings. Too little and the motor loses torque (thrust). Too much; motors windings will over heat, destroying the insulation and/or windings. The basic fact is that a motor can only take so much current; more current doesn't mean more power. Too much current will break down the winding insulation and burn out the motor.
-
Internal Circuit Breakers - amplifiers have internal circuit breakers, just like a home electrical system. These designs protect both the amplifier and the motor by automatically "folding back" the current output to it's continuous rating or shutting off all power (fault) output. Without the correct design - using both High Speed and Low Speed Circuit Breakers - too much current will over heat, melt the insulation and "fry" the motor, permanently damaging it beyond repair.
-
UL-CE-CSA Electrical Ratings - commonly, substitute or "imitation" amplifiers have not gone through the process of having the amplifier design approved by the rigorous testing for safety and RF standards. Qualified components must be used in order to maintain these ratings for the machine and not impact it's overall Electrical Code approval, let alone the resale value.
-
New or Used? - beware, some amplifiers are being sold as "new" when actually they are just cleaned-up and passed off as "new". The manufactures serial number is the only way to tell if the unit is new and has all the latest design revisions.
